Newtek, in their lastest Toaster Channel fax newsletter, states:
"Lightwave 3D 4.0 Shipping!
Newtek is very excited to announce the shipment of Lightwave 3D 4.0
beginning on Friday, April 7, 1995. [deleted stuff] Available
immediately for ordering will the three Windows versions of Lightwave 3D
(Intel, Alpha, MIPS.) with Amiga and SGI versions to follow shortly.
[more deleted stuff]"
There. The Horse has spoken.
I find it amusing that the Amiga Version is delayed... In the feature
list, one of the features listed is "Multi-color wireframe layout (not on
Amiga)"
Also, one of the file formats listed for images is Cineon.
Finally, the system requirements for PC Lightwave 3D:
"IBM or 100% compatible computer 386/486, Pentium, Alpha, or MIPS
processor. (Coprocessor required)
Windows NT 3.5, Windows 3.1 or later.
16 MB RAM
Hard Disc [sic] with 20 MB available space
SuperVGA display device capable of at least 640x480 x 256 colors
Microsoft compatible mouse."
16 MB, huh...
